"This font manager is amazing!"
Version: MainType 1.0.1.65
Pros
I totally agree with the other reviewers; MainType is the best font manager I've ever seen. Not only because it has a very attractive user interface, but mainly because it supports all font formats, is fully Unicode aware and very fast (I just installed 1482 fonts simultaneously
within six seconds!).
While even the Windows fonts folder sometimes gets confused when new fonts are installed or existing fonts are uninstalled, MainType keeps in sync with Windows internal font management. I'm now in the middle of organizing my fonts collection, it's so easy and so much fun. I'm glad I gave it a try!

"Simply *THE BEST* font manager ever created"
Version: MainType 1.0.1.65
Pros
Tons of intuitive features. The program has multiple tabbed-like windows that are easy to drag around to snap them into place. You can also show/hide the windows that you need (or don't need). Clean, well designed interface. Comes with a default and aluminium skins. It's a real joy to use. Finally a program that not only packs a lot of features together, but also has a clean interface.
Cons
I didn't find this program earlier and suffered in pain using other font manager(s) that don't measure up.

"The best font manager I have found!"
Version: MainType 1.0.1.65
Pros
MainType was an eye-opener for me!
I had no idea so much information was packed inside each font that could be used for searches!
Columns allows a multitude of sorting options. Click a column head, and the whole display is sorted almost instantly by that information. Click it again, and the order is reversed.
Select View, Columns or just click the Columns button and easily reorder them as you wish.
I like Panose at the head of the Columns list because those fonts that have been “Panosedâ€ give a quick selection of fonts to pick from to meet almost any specific need.
Groups has allowed me to move the Groups folder (Tools, Options, General, Folders) to my backup hard drive and fill it with sub folders and sub-sub folders to my heart’s content.
Between Browse and Groups I can rapidly switch back and forth between sections of my collections.
Malfunctioning collected fonts are immediately identified as I download them.
Layout panes can be organized ANY way you please! I like the Character Pane filling half the screen to closely examine Picture and Dingbat Fonts. Save your favorites as options to the provided 4 versions.
AND the mastermind is available to make good improvements if you can think of any!
Cons
It will not spin flax into gold.
