"GREAT product - does EXACTLY what I need!"

    August 24, 2006  |   By blazergia

    Version: Mailings 1.8.6

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've used this product for about 5 mailings in the trail and I will definately get it. It does EVERYTHING I need to. Most importantly, I send out a newsletter to about 400 subscribers and my server only allows me to only send a limited number per hour. The program allows me to "throttle" the setting to allow for my email and regular email biz each hour. It also import DBs and will personalize each mailing. It is well done and took me about an hour to understand the entire program. GREAT JOB!

"Works well, great price, perfectly legitimate"

    March 26, 2006  |   By tsbecker

    Version: Mailings 1.6.3

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This program does a great job and the price is right. Even if your mailing list is small, it's worth it to send an individual email to each person instead of using BCC.

Regarding the html in email controversy, this program also allows you to send only plain text which is what I use most.

The only thing I would like to see is some improvement in the interface making the plain text only feature a little more obvious. But, as with most software, once you figure it out it works great.

Thanks to the developer for a great, affordable program.

    "Works well. Developer very helpful."

    Version: Mailings 1.6.1

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This product does what I want it to: basically sending a webpage via email to a group of people.

I was having a little trouble, but after a short email message to the developer later, I was able to find and troubleshoot my problem.

    Excellent.

I did a mailing of about 500 from Address Book.app, and I was amazed at the simplicity and flawlessness. Very useful and dependable app.

"I needed the bug Fix, but really like the new..."

    March 2, 2005  |   By dechamp

    Version: Mailings 1.3

    Summary

    ...features.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
OK, I'm impressed! The interface for this software is a hugh plus over other programs I've tried to use. Get your browser to view the html page you want to send. Launch this program. Start at the top of the page and make a few well documented choices (with popup help) and send the newsletter or whatever.

I was hoping for a bug fix to stop my crashing problem, but didn't expect the new features, like the improved methods to set the 'Sender Address' to come so quickly. My clients want the mail to appear to come from them and now this is very easy to set up.

Joe must not sleep. Tech support has been awesome.

"Crashes when sending emails captured from Browser"

    February 19, 2005  |   By dechamp

    Version: Mailings 1.2.7

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I'm actually using v1.2.8 that I downloaded from the developers site. I don't have the time to figure out if earlier versions work but this one did not.

It sends local files from my hard drive fine (but you don't get any graphics). When I choose the page I built on a site just for a bulk mail test and preview with browser it looks fine. Thinking that maybe there was a problem with that page, I tried another site with the same results. When I hit the send button it crashes.

Very nice and easy to learn interface, but not ready yet. Interface gets 5 stars, but only 1 for Stability and 2 for price. I probably would still have bought it for $15 - $20

    "Perfection achieved"

    January 18, 2005  |   By Xiaopangzi

    Version: Mailings 1.2.2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Amazing! Joe must be one of the hardest working and most responsive developers of software for the Mac. All I can say is that Mailings is now perfect, according to all of my strict standards, and I feel impressed to check out whatever other software Joe has developed.

I love this application not just for its ability to perform batch/mass mailings to other people but more importantly to send Web pages to myself and other family members, just as Windows users have been able to do with Internet Explorer for years. Saving a Web page with Safari only saves the HTML without all of the necessary images, and other applications that have the option of downloading Web archives preserve the content in a format that is not practical for most uses.

I challenge other VersionTracker visitors to find a mass/batch emailer that is better than this one, as the current offerings fall far short of Mailings' capabilities and interface.
