"Taking too long to perfect!"
Version: MailForge 2.0.6
Pros
Fast searches, responsiveness of developers, separate download folders for each mail account corralled in Mail Forge.
Cons
Too often some feature or another did not work or stopped working or was always slated for future delivery
Summary
I gave MF a good chance. But found it too unreliable, too new and raw.I so much wanted Eudora to come back. Finally I realized I need to work with a mainstream mail client and moved to Apple's Mail. IT just has taken Mail Forge too long to mature.

"No technical support"
Version: MailForge 1.4.8
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
They repeatedly say "Email us at support@infinitydatasystems.com", but I have never received a single reply to multiple email messages I have sent. NOT EVEN ONCE. That's the same as receiving no support. Do not waste your money or time in trying to use this program. You will only be frustrated because the developer has not answered a single question I have asked. -

"Odysseus must deliver"
Version: MailForge 1.0 Beta 2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The idea behind Odysseus is great. But it must deliver. The current 1.0b2 is not at all equivalent to Eudora 6.2.4 on Mac. I would call it version 0.1 instead. Time will tell if the goal is reached. Our money is ready and waiting for that: the very same interface and look and feed than the fantastic Eudora. -
"not really 1.0, more like 0.8"
Version: MailForge 1.0 Beta 2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The goal is admirable: duplicate the feature/functions of Eudora (which I have used since 1995).
This version is not a 1.0 release in my opinion. It is closer to a 0.8 release.
Many features of Eudora are still "under development".
The developers are working very hard and deserve a huge pat on the back for taking on this project.
I will wait and look forward to being able to give them money for a real 1.0 version.
