"Only moved the furniture!"
Pros
This is a very good program. The reason for low score is explained below.
Cons
There is barely any difference to v14; all they've done is move stuff around, hence only the 2 stars. Plus, the same old bugs are there, so they've not even addressed those!
Summary
Example of bugs still there: After you cut chunks out, the Properties won't update the new movie length, When uploading directly to Youtube, it still automatically reduces the resolution and puts a big black border around the video,; When you save the movie encoded to .avi, the video/audio is still often out of sync. Another gripe is that they are still not providing presets for Youtube widescreen resolutions.
I should add something of my extensive period with Magix video Edit overall. The program has potential, but it is let down by a badly run company that fail to complete a product before release. If you look for items in the 'Help' or 'Tasks' section, they will show up on the index, but if you click on these it will lead you to a blank page, because they never even bothered to fill in the information. I've sent a large number of technical queries to them by email but only received one useless reply. I complaned about their company but was ignored. Basically, if you have a problem with this program you are on your own. There is a forum, if you manage to find it with Google, but you'll notice that so many questions go unanswered. This company needs to be taken over by a better one because it's run by amateurs. My advice is: don't waste your money with them - look elsewhere for a better supported product, unless you are happy to tear your hair out in constant frustration.
If you have v14, you would be throwing your money down the toilet by buying this v15, because, as I said before, it's exactly the same thing with everything moved around. A cheap and nasty cynical ploy to get your money.
It's always been obvious that Magix needs to be taken over by a company that will give the management and developers a good kick up the posterior. Their website is badly supported, and if you report a problem directly, rather than attempting to replicate the problem themselves from a clear description, they'll put obstacles in the way, eg. by telling you to upload all the files for them!
So, so lazy!

Updated on Feb 6, 2010Looking through these reviews, I notice that many of the ones with 5 stars appear to have been written by the same person.Sentence construction is similar, as are the usage of certain words, with no cons. Beware these 5 star reviews, I suspect they have been written by someone from Magix.
