MagicTracer has many useful raster and vector editing tools for manipulating raster and vector data during pre-processing and post-processing.
The raster editing tools include many image filters and commands useful for isolating high-contrast borders and color changes within an image. Vector results can be exported to any CAD or vector editing program (Illustrator/Freehand) through DXF. MagicTracer also allows exporting to DesignCAD format.

Version 2.0.006 has Fixes program crash while saving vector files with curves of too many points.

"A Timesaving Unique Feature --- Real-Time Preview"
Pros: The real-time preview feature is really a timesaver while processing the vector conversion. You don't have to wait until the whole process complete to change the settings to get the better tracing results. Plus the program is so powerful and only cost $60. I recommend downloading the latest version from the MagicTracer website.

Pros: Many commands that only available in a much more expansive program can all be found in this low cost program. This is a very powerful program indeed.

"Great Raster to Vector conversion with more than expected flexibility"
Pros: Interface is intuitive and easy to play with. Good undo ************ makes a "try-it-and-see-what-happens" approach work while learning the ins/outs of translation. Love the realtime preview option and all of the raster AND vector editing features. I was able to convert an awful multi-color, noisy raster image with multiple profiles into a fairly clean DXF file for use in our CAD system. It took some tweaking of the image in raster to maximize the cleanliness and quality of the final DXF file - but I had a usable output in a few tries/minutes. Further familiarity on my part would most likely improve the results of the curve interpolation and line corrections. Since I didn't bother with the manual or help, I suspect I may not have had the optimal settings...But I do think that for what it does, the price is most definitely reasonable and certainly feel the publisher was very fair in allowing 20 fully feature-enabled uses of the trial. Now I just need to convince the boss to pay for it...
Cons: Not owning a licensced copy; I'd buy it myself if I had the cash.
