"I use this all the time."
Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros
Not sure why this software is only getting an average of 3 star ratings. Maybe other people don't know how to use it?? Or maybe I'm missing something... but this is must-have software if you want to mount images (iso's) to install whatever software or game you like. I install Magic Disk on all of my PC's right after I install Open Office (the free word-writing program that is sooooo underrated by those who choose to actually pay money for the exact same software called Microsoft Word.) Hint. Hint. I have a real problem with these companies making money off of people without informing us that we can get the same exact software FOR FREE from somewhere else and it is TOTALLY LEGAL. Hopefully soon in our future everything will be OPEN SOURCE so that we can push the evolution of technology to the next level. Have a wonderful day.
Cons
Sometimes this software does not UNMOUNT properly when you click it. No big deal you just have to MOUNT another program in its place or use the UNMOUNT ALL DRIVES button... thus the reason for 4.5 stars instead of 5.

"As reviewed. Program removal difficult."
Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros
Did not use the program for its intended purpose.
Cons
Cannot remove this program through Control Panel.
Summary
I downloaded this program (against the advice of previous reviewers) because it was suggested as a help to troubleshoot my CD/DVD burner. I tried to remove the program after I'd completed my troubleshooting but 'uninstall' was not an available option in Control Panel>Programs. Fortunately I was able to use a restore point prior to Magic Disc's installation and that seemed to do the trick. My advice is only download this program if you KNOW it's what you're looking for and create at least one restore point before the installation (for some reason my first restore point didn't take.)
I give it a low star rating because of the removal difficulty. I haven't used the program for its intended purpose so I cannot rate it on that basis. -
"its a iso mounting software"
Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106

Summary

"Crap, all kinds of malware packed in with this app"
Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros
not a thing
Cons
there were three other applications that are hidden in the install package and I got this from CNet. We-care (don't know what it is) , Free Ride Games Player (don't know), 7 Wonders II (again don't know) and MagicDisc were all installed. There were NO options to not install these other apps. Thanks Cnet for scanning the software packages.
Summary
Don't trust CNet

"It satisfies your expectations."
Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros
This is the lite version of MagicISO. It is easy and simple to create discs images and have them mounted on your PC.
Cons
None, although the image showed corresponds to the MagicISO complete software and this lite version doesn't open a window to run the program, it only displays a menu in the icon on the task bar.
Summary
It does what you expect (creating CD images and mount them) in a real simple and easy way which means it weights little to your memory so you don't have to worry about having it running all the time.

"Product website has a nasty virus!"
Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros
I assume it would be handy to use the product as I've been told by other people but I never got a chance.
Cons
I was unable to download the file from Cnet. When I went to the product website as recommended by Cnet I ended up getting a nasty "Windows Shutdown Virus" after installing MagicDisc from the vendor's website.
Summary
If you cannot get the download to work from Cnet. Do NOT download it from the product website.

"Superb, because it works day-in and day-out."
Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros
Perfectly conceived and implemented right-click menu, supporting both option choices and help information together in the most logical of places.
Cons
If I find any I will be sure to let you know.
Summary
Do yourself a favor and stop searching for something better out there. Just download, install, fix a cold one and drop some music into your virtual CD/DVD.

"Simple program for mounting ISO files virtually."
Version: MagicDisc 2.7.106
Pros
Small program, no overhead.
Works great as a virtual DVD/CD drive to install from ISO files.
Free.Cons
None so far.
Summary
I have this running without issue on a Win 7 64-bit machine to run my ISO files rather than wasting a bunch of disks.
