"The Best Mass File Renamer Out There!"

by doucrix on October 6, 2006

Pros: What I like about this program is the functions. It can do so many things with the way the file is renamed. "Artist - Title" to "Title - Artist" with the "Token Mover" option, Replace "_" with " ", Insert "-" in places; Insert whole strings into every file. "Shrink Space" option eliminates double spaces. "Letters Case" can capitalize every first letter in a sentence and a whole lot more.

The Tree is easy to explore your files and you can also rename them manually just like in Windows Explorer.

MP3 tag edit renamer just like you would the file name! Perfecto!

Cons: I Didn't like the Icons of the program and also the logo. Obviously they don't have the graphics that big company software have but I know with more support that they will soon have nicer looking interface buttons etc. At first the program may seem a bit complex, the tools menu needs to be more graphical to get an easy feel of the functions.

    "Good file renamer"

by Scorsese on November 27, 2005

Pros: Has a lot of options to choose from, even an MP3 tagger! Worth the money!

Cons: The newest version seems a bit unstable, at least on my computer. I use version 5 instead.

"AWESOME! FINALLY, PLAYLISTS FOR FLASH MP3 PLAYERS!"

by roybatty on January 29, 2006

Pros: This is a must have if you want to create playlists on a flash mp3 player, most of which do not support .m3u files. MFR lets you shuffle your mp3 files into whatever order you choose, then add numerical prefixes to every file, complete with leading 0's, as in 01, 02, etc., so that your player plays them in the order you've chosen.

And, what's even better, when your're done, it'll strip off the numbers you added, so that you can add new files, or change the running order, and re-number.

It's also got countless other features and uses I haven't even checked out yet, but I use it to create playlists every day.

And, it is brainlessly easy to use. Took me about 10 seconds to figure out how to do what I wanted to do. Worth every penny.

    Cons: None whatsoever.
