Version: MadZ Video to iPod Converter 1
"Nice Product. Bad licensing."
Pros: Nice program that does a great job of copying DVDs to MP4 format.
Cons: They have an absurd license policy that will not allow you use the software if you loose your hard drive or reimage it and need to reinstall it. They make you purchase it again!!!
Summary: I would look for a product that works similair to this one but has a license that is your's to keep forever. Do not buy a product where they ask you for a code and then send you one back to put into the product like this one. Look for a license that is straight out your's to use and no strings attached. They should not have to ask you for a code to just then send you one back if they are a legal and straightforward software vendor.

What I thought was just a misunderstanding is in fact their policy. "We do not think anyone should ever have to reimage their HD ever!!!" So it is a "one time" install and use. BEWARE!!! You must pay to get another license if you ever need to reinstall the software. Even on the same PC. Even if you did not change the hardware at ALL!!! Just because you reimaged the PC, you must buy a new license. It is just $5 for a new license but the principal of the whole license is unbelievable. I am sure that are more ethical software vendors out there that will sell you a license for your use without forcing you to buy a new once every time you want to reinstall it.
