From Adobe Systems :Macromedia Director is a full-featured multimedia authoring tool designed to help you build and distribute your own multimedia presentations for CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, and the Internet. Combining tools for graphics, sound, animation, text, and video content, Director allows you to integrate your content into a single file and then export it as a variety of different file types, including the popular Shockwave format. Director 8.0 also features an improved authoring environment and team workflow features that make this version more intuitive. Workflow steps are reduced for complex and repetitive tasks. The demo version is a 30-day trial. The full commercial version of Director 8.0 costs $999.
Note: This trial version of Director 8.0 is different from the full version of Director 8.0 Shockwave Internet Studio in that it does not include studio components such as sound editors, save as Java capabilities, and Macromedia Fireworks.
