"Get your Weekends back --Implement Machine Scanner"
Version: Machine Scanner 4.2
Pros
This software allowed us to patch our entire enterprise including servers behind firewall using only one member of staff, rather than the team of 5 that was required over the entire weekend before we implemented Machine Scanner. To get back my weekends is justification enought to implement this product.
The hardware & software inventory I found acurate and allows us to keep an up to date database of all server settings.
Machine scanner also allows control of services, meaning you can assign the rights to control a service to 1st line team via MS(without giving elevated rights to the box inself), which can cut down out of hours call out's for 3 rd line teams.
All in all it has cut down on work outside of core hours and reduced the number of call outs our team recieves.
Roll out was exceptionally easy, returning all our machines on the first scan.
Cons
I found the interface a bit confusing to start with and it takes about an hour to get to grips with it But once you understand the thought process it makes sense, and jobs are easy to implement.

Version: Machine Scanner 4.2
Pros
Easy to install - great to use - does everything I an possible think of -
Cons
500 dollars is a bit pricey - especially as this is a cut down version (full version must be awesome) - if you made it cheaper I think you'd have a winner
