Simply put: there are none, except you get satisfaction when (well, if) you actually manage to delete their tripe.

This app (all of SummitSoft/Macware apps, in fact) is terrible. It's not only a broken, buggy piece of crapware, but it's stolen off of developers who did a better job. Actually, my cat could probably do a better job.

When I originally tried this drivel, I wasn't going to write a review. In fact, I probably would've given it three stars. It didn't work, but bugs can be ironed out, etc. However, when I opened my email this afternoon to find a piece of spam mail from these developers, I decided to hit them where it hurts: their sales. Congratulations, Macware/Summitsoft: you've managed to create yet another person that despises you.

Not One redeeming quality

Too many to list in only 1000 characters.

This will be the last time I buy a MacWare / SummitSoft product. Shame on me for continuing to buy their inferior products.
- There is little to no support with the purchase of the item or on their website.
- The programs are often obsolete before they are released.
- With past programs, I have dutifully "updated" the software only to discover AFTERWARDS that they want to charge me for the update!

PLEASE do not suffer the pain and suffering I have encountered with this program and this company. I encourage you to not only look for another program but another company! (Since this debacle I have had great success with OnyX and Drive Genius). NEVER buy a program from MAcWare / SummitSoft.

It appears to be capable of speeding up my iMac.

I wish I knew more about how to use it, to it's fullest potential.

I've had similar software in the past that cost twice as much, now I have to study up on what it all means. If you know anything at all you can use this.

"This & all Macware apps are junk ripoffs of othe..."

This developer makes nothing but ridiculously overpriced junk, the ideas for which are often PLAGIARIZED or blatantly RIPPED OFF from other developers' apps!

For instance, MacTuneUp is a shameless verbatim RIPOFF of the great FREEWARE app OnyX (run them side-by-side if you don't believe me), but MacTuneUp costs $35! Granted, MacTuneUp has capabilities that OnyX does not (though I'd never trust this dev's app mucking about in my System folder the way I'd allow OnyX to). However, MacTuneUp's additional capabilities are available FOR FREE in one or two other freeware apps. So by my reckoning, asking $35 for this (cr)app is simply retarded.

Macware's Email Campaign app ($100) is nothing but a bunch of boilerplate templates for making SPAM, which, of course, provides a vital service to society.

Macware's Logo Design Studio Pro ($60) is nothing but a bunch of "pre-designed logo templates," most of which suck or are derivative of existing corporate logos.

Macware's $80 DiskTools Pro has a modicum of merit, but it's still a joke (and is anything but 'Pro') compared to its far more functional competitors, such as Drive Genius (a bit overpriced at $99), TechTool Pro ($98), and even the fantastic one trick pony DiskWarrior, which, at $99.95, is the most expensive, but its directory rebuilding and optimization capabilities made it the best of them all. Nowadays, TechTool Pro has the same functionality (though not as evolved) plus several other powerful features, making it the new king of disk utilities. DiskTools Pro, however, does not have any directory repair or optimization capabilities other than the quite basic Disk Utility First Aid routines already built into the Mac OS that the DiskTools Pro developers scummily renamed and repackaged as their own and added to DiskTools Pro, plus a couple more useless features for which those Macware hacks made up high tech bullsh1t names, like the laughable 'Analyze Capacity Usage' and 'Test Data Transfer Integrity' functions! TechTool Pro and Drive Genius are also guilty of repackaging Mac Disk Utility features as their own and making up complicated names for those and other useless capabilities, but the DiskTools Pro devs are by far the most guilty/slimy/fetid/ulcerous in that regard.

I have attempted to diagnose and fix drive problems a few times using DiskTools Pro 3.5.1, but each time it only made matters worse. Luckily, its competitors (TTP & DW) were able to correct the original disk problems as well as the problems caused by DiskTools. Indeed, it's easy to assess DiskTools' uselessness and the degree to which certain functions are poached from other developers' apps simply by reading its ridiculously uninformative User's Guide, which explains next to nothing about many of its functions because the app doesn't really do much, but it sure does look pretty while it sits there doing nothing!

Seriously folks, you should stay far, far away from anything made by Macware.

I had followed the instructions and selected to back up all of my hard drive to create a bootable disc on my external HD. The program claimed it should take about an hour and a half. 5 (FIVE) hours later, it had apparently, hung up in the middle of it's task. I clicked cancel. Later when I tried to do some work, none of my irreplaceable (5 years worth of) work files existed. No where on either the HD or external HD did the exist.

Contacted tech support and they emailed me a copy of the manual. They completely ignored my question: "Did your program move my files somewhere or did it delete them?" They said, "I have attached the pdf manual file of the program with this email, you are requested to please go through to it for complete information regarding program.

Please let us know if you need any assistance."

This program may be fine for some people, but I cannot recommend this program at all.
