• "Don't Touch This!" this #2.

  Non, considering the hijacking software that came with it in my Cnet download.

  I came here to ferret out something I suspected and boblack2034aa's "Don't Touch This!" review answered my very question.

  Summary

  I lost control of my search engine in Mozilla Firefox. Their forum on my question proved that I'd had browser add-ons added to Firefox that resulted in not being able to choose my browser and losing the ability to go to Firefox's add-on page to remove the offending add-ons. The Add-ons page would load for a split second and take me to a page, that Ghostery blocked as risky: "Ghostery (love it) prevented a redirect to "api.mybrowserbar.com to cj.dotomi.com,which is part of Dotomi." Research found that "mybrowserbar" was indeed a hijacker of your browser. Other symptoms it caused was being unable to load your chosen start page in your browser. When I read THAT, I knew I'd been hit. BEWARE.

  Yes, it enables you to download a youtube video.

  Cons

  This application installed "something" that continuously made "Yahoo!" my search engine! When I reset my computer settings, this "something" would immediately change them back. Endless frustration and at least an hour of wasted time. I finally had to call Apple for help in removing this App from my computer. By the way, it doesn't show up in the list of Apps. I've always trusted CNET before, but not anymore after this experience.

  It's free and it does the job. I like the fact that I can specify the download format easily. Sometimes you don't need HD, a basic mp4 format is fine.

  Cons

  Would be nice if the download speed was faster but it's not bad as is.

  Summary

  Rated a 3 star. Would go higher if the download speed was greater.

  I tried downloading 8 random videos from YouTube. Only 1 download could be initialized.

  Summary

  Item 6 in the documentation pertaining to video download: "There is the case that can not download from file URL." I'll say.

  Pros

  A free product that delivers exactly what it is supposed to do. It has the added feature of showing you which videos are high definition, and gives you all the available options for file type to download. Can also download several at a time at a decent speed. Highly recommended.

  Cons

  None - speed was not a factor (some sites want you to spend $30 or $40 for a fast downloader - don't waste your money)
