Nice clean little program, however the main thing missing is the ability to transfer files between users. I have a friend using OS9 (I'm using Panther and MSN 3.5) and it would be nice if they could have a version which would allow file transfers with me. -

Well, this is a very nice app... Misses some GUI candy, yes, but it works nicely...
Minus a star for not understanding latin characters like àor ê, and so on...
BTW, it consumes quite less CPU and memory, when idle, than the official MSN Messenger, wich make this app a must-have if you keep your MSN open for long periods of time, have little system resoures and/or want to do something else while you're on MSN...
It seems to miss some features of the official version, like files and mail reports but it works well if you only want to chat... -

I couldn't find any advantage over MS's client here.
Am I missing something?
Besides the app crashed unexpectedly. -

...Than MicroCraps MSN client, mainly because it actually has features similar to that of the Windows version (A load of smiley 'emoticons' for one thing - and before I forget it actually has games, a limited amount sure, namely Guess the number and Connect Four but its better than nothing! Its also got 'Skin' capability so you can have a different interface look, again i think their are only two provided but its a whole lot more than the M$ MSN client provided).
Its definetly a worthwhile download if you're an MSN user (I can't stress enough, its actually got features!). It is a little buggy, but the bugs that do pop up are intermitant, and the more people who actually report them instead of sitting on their arses moaning about them, the quicker a decent version will be released. No doubt 2.8 will have various bug fixes more skins, more games
Also, file transfer does work... well it did for me. -

I always knew there was hope that one day we wouldn't all be consumed by microsoft's *censored*, thank god for this guy that made this app. Its a billion times better than Microsoft's, only one thing.. FILE TRANSFER! Dude! Spend the extra time to make it work and voila, you got the best MSN Messenger for mac!!!
Good program overall, never crashes, very customizable, fast, stable, etc etc..
Free too.. -

This application:1-Looks great 2-Has a real Mac appearance 3- works perfectly 4-Never crashes on me 4 Does what it is supposed to do So what is all this stuff about Real Basic not being right for this type of app and that it doesn't appear to be right for the more up to date systems and computers? I feel you guy are picking hairs. I like this app, I use it and it rocks!!! P.S. The author IS NOT my brother-in-law!
