Version: MXPlay 1.1.3 beta
Pros: I like the crispiness of the music and it embeds fastastic sound quality to my ear and emotion! Very nice sound quality especially when you're using your headphones. MXPlay is guaranteed user-friendly and its free!
Cons: None

Version: MXPlay 1.1.3 beta
Pros: You must download this program: with headphones or a 5-Channel system, there is absolutely nothing like it. Every single song in my library sounds amazingly better, and the program manipulates where it comes out of, reverb, etc, but with the use that anybody can get.
It also has a great browser integration, and I was very interested: it turned out to be just as useful as I hoped.
Cons: -It takes up about 10% of my 750mhz machine (That mioght be a pro, actually)
-Organization of local files is a bit clumsy, because at heart it's an internet program.
-The program's still in Beta, and it shows. It crashes pretty frequently for me, and yet I still use it. It's that good, and I'll be in line when the final comes out

Version: MXPlay 1.1.4 beta
Pros: It looks quite good!
I saw a rave post in a Cnet newsletter about this player, I should have known better! There are many useful pointers in these newsletters, but there are also some very different reviews to how the actual experience turns out when I have downloaded something mentioned there.
I rated the other reviews here for this product, the +ve ones all show up right away, the -ve ones do not show...odd!
Cons: It repeatedly changed my audio settings to desktop speakers, from 5.1 surround sound speakers in the XP Pro sounds and audio devices part of the control panel, with no requests from me to do so, nor does there appear to be any way that I can override this action from within the player. It's my PC so I'll set it how I want, thank you very much MXPlay! Bye bye MXPLay!
The raved about audio settings are a bit like what happens when you have a bass booster or something on a cheap audio system, no real equalizer settings just a poor substitute, if you have a good system you want to be able to set it in reality, not with simulations.

Version: MXPlay 1.1.6 beta
"very nice, but can't wait for updates"
Pros: there's plenty of soft ware on the market that does the same thing that MXPlay does, in fact, there's plenty that don't. I don't trust my music library to anyone, so until further notice, I'll have to trust MXPlay since I like the product (some what)
Cons: needs more plugins like EQ, BassBoost, Effects,And the like.

Version: MXPlay 1.1.5 beta
Pros: Nice little interface for moving virtual speakers and head position around for 3d sound.
Cons: I don't concentrate that hard on my music to make it worth my while. I use Media Monkey to organize my offline (CD) music and playlists or winamp. I play my music in the background while my attention is on other things. Not a bad little program though, if playing music has your primary attention.
