In a world with too many video codecs, between VLC and Mplayer, you're pretty much covered

The double app feature that creates another app(Mplayer Window) in Mac when you play a video is a nuisance to use

"Smooth Interface but Memory Hog"

Pros
Great integration visually into OS X, the simplicity and brushed metal look really makes this app look like it comes with OS X. This app can also play a manifold of file formats, which is useful when good ol' quicktime just can't get the job done.
Cons
Memory usage is very high, I have a decent 1GB RAM, and still experienced intermittent crashes due to lack of virtual memory. I had no other programs running at the time except for Finder and Dashboard [neither of which were active].
