Publisher's description
From LearnToUseComputers :Play Sudoku puzzles on your PC--why use pen and paper, when you can point and click? MPS-Sudoku has unlimited puzzles for you to play, or you can copy puzzles from newspapers and magazines. MPS-Sudoku can offer clues to the solution as you play, or you can wait until you've finished the puzzle. Includes the assistant feature, which helps you to see the next placement by better understanding the rules. The Input Wheel makes entering numbers quicker and easier, and puzzles have an improved appearance and printing options. Includes a puzzle timer to record your best time or race against the clock, and a 'transform' feature to rotate the puzzle to help kick-start solving when you're fed up staring at the same grid. Also includes Sounds Profiles, which play user-defined MP3 audio files when various events occur during the game.
Version 3.15 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: MPS-Sudoku 3.15
"Astonishing... Marvellous... Wonderous..."
Pros: This software is truly remarkable.
Try it.
Now!
NB. The previous poster was mistaken. Individual candidate numbers can be added or erased on any square. You DON'T have to resort to AutoFill to work with candidates.
Cons: Absolutely none whatsoever.

Version: MPS-Sudoku 3.15
Pros: One of the best Sudoku programs out there! Easy to use, great tools, and great customer service from LearnToUseComputers.com. I would recommend them to everone.

Version: MPS-Sudoku 3.15
Pros: This software has something for everyone - from beginners who need a lot of help, to experts who just need the drudgery taken care of.
It's got a great interface, and almost everything is customisable. The ethos is that the *player* decides how things look, how they work, and how they sound, *not* just the team that designed it.
Really efficient customer service from LearnToUseComputers, too. I got my Key back in about an hour, and it installed without fuss.
They've got a forum where you can leave suggestions, and they actually take note too.
Goes to show - the little guys offer a better customer experience than the big corporates.

Version: MPS-Sudoku 3.15
"Clean, easy & flexible interface; Great Assistant for learners; Tough on experts"
Pros: In a household of a few pencil-and-paper Sudoku players, it was time to both raise the bar and automate the experience (on a Windows PC.)
-BREAK-
I compared "MPS-Sudoku 3.15" with "WinSudoku 1.3" and "Sudoku Puzzle and Game Solver 1.3," and found MPS-Sudoku to be superior for both seasoned Sudoku veterans, and especially for beginners.
-BREAK-
For seasoned vet's the ability to build - and exchange - "puzzle profiles" can't be beat. Profiles allow the puzzle 'creator' to configure the appearance, ability of assistance allowed, and time allotted to play any puzzle. (Of course one can create puzzles that are unrealistically impossible to solve this way, which is a great way to frustrate that Sudoku challenger you been wanting to one-up!)
-BREAK-
For beginners, in addition to the usual 'pencil markups' management, there is a superb 'Assistant' which can be used to learn how to search puzzles for the logical clues to unravel the next move. What's more, the Assistant can even teach intermediate-advanced users a few tricks!
-BREAK-
MPS-Sudoku's adjustable interface and easy-to-use 'input number wheel' also make the game pleasant to play, and easy on the eye. (But then I've always had a thing for circular menus!) Oh, and easy on *the ear* too: There are *game sound profiles* too!
-BREAK-
Finally, MPS-Sudoku has one more feature that will make any advanced player smirk: It has not just three levels of generated puzzles, but *four*. There are the usual 'Easy', 'Mild' (Intermediate), and 'Difficult', but MPS-Sudoku adds another: 'Fiendish'!
-BREAK-
Not only are the Fiendish puzzles harder (more single-possibility steps in the path to win), but they have *even shorter time allotted* as well! Oh, and like the Difficult level puzzles, the Fiendish *do not allow use of the Assistant*! OUCH!
-BREAK-
MPS-Sudoku is just the sort of challenge we Sudoku addicts are looking for, and a great tool to advance many casual players to the next level of Sudoku play.
Cons: Limited to only 9x9 puzzle grids (for now?)

Version: MPS-Sudoku 3.15
Pros: Tablet-friendly, works in both laptop and tablet orientation. Handy interface for both mouse and pen users. Easy to use and small program size.
Cons: Nothing. Simply the best Sudoku I've tried (and I've tried quite a few.)
