    "worth the shareware price..."

not a single problem with the program on tiger (10.4.1).

great program! well worth the $15 shareware fee (and i don't say that very often)!
    never has crashed.
the only thing i would add would be a menu option to allow for the manual rebuilding of id3/4 tags.
does a great job of finding what i'm looking for and rarely grabs wrong info.

    "Works, but WATCH OUT"

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
It works pretty well on mainstream albums, it's a bit of a resource hog at launch, but it does its job. HOWEVER a couple users on the forums have noted something that also happened to me:

THIS MAY DESTROY SOME AAC FILES, rendering them UNPLAYABLE. this INCLUDES songs bought from ITMS. So before you use this BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP your iTunes library. The authors have been made aware of the problem and hopefully will figure out a solution.

(for those wondering, it appears it changed some (not all) files in my library from .m4a and .m4p to be .mp3 and rendered them unplayable on iTunes or any other media player.)

Does just what it says on the tin. Found cover artwork for about 95% of my music collection. For my future use, it would be useful if it could search for tracks without artwork, to save scrolling through. That apart - excellent product.

    "Very smooth final version-congrats!"

Bought this awhile back. Been using it again for sometime as it is the cleanest, fastest, and most accurate app of this sort available. Works well with a massive library and old, obscure cuts too. This version is nigh perfection. Also, some intense fun for iPod photo users.

    "Downloaded, tried, registered."

After trying various programs to fill my collection with missing info (especially artwork), this is the first one which seems to work really well. $20 is quite a lot, but I think I made the right decision.

    "Opens iTunes in Classic"

    Summary

Everytime I try to play a song, or launch iTunes, it opens up Classic and tries to run the classic version of iTunes. And, there is no option to select the path to the correct version, or any options for that matter. Besides that its allright

    "UNBELIEVABLY COOL LITTLE APP!"

    May 10, 2004  |   By Hardline

    Version: MPFreaker 1.0b8

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
INCREDIBLY USEFUL FOR HUGE, MULTIPLE MUSIC LIBRARIES. I have been using this off and on for awhile now and have had NO PROBLEMS at all with its capabilities in conjunction with my IP address searching, I presume, various sites. Had to toggle a couple buttons to get higher accuracy with a few of the more obscure tracks, but otherwise, very clean, fast and thorough. There is simply nothing else for the Macintosh that does this so auto-magically. Two big thumbs up!
