The editor reviewed this gem for 15 minutes. I had to live with this thing for a week solid while it annoyed me and held my computer hostage.
This product has a long way to go. There are alot of annoying things and bugs, and major things wrong. You can't get rid of the background even if you wanted to, and you are limited to these hokey images. None of the interface is standard, and some of it is downright confusing. You can't resize the form. It duplicates the source list items to an ever increasing sized list (a bug). It's a cpu HOG. It doesnt save the mp3 do disk while recording, it does it afterwards, so you might lose your recording! If you hit the wrong button, you lose your recording without a warning. When finally saving the mp3, FORGET about using your computer for anything else. This is totally needless misery. It doesn't care to remember your paths. Still not convinced? Then this product is for YOU (hehe). -

The interface is cool and modern, simple to use with no need for any help files to be studied.
The quality of the recording, depending on your source of course, is really clear. I like how it can record to the highest LAME MP3 settings of 320kbps tooCons
For some reason the recording level volume slider that is supposed to be set by the user, before recording, to get it at the right level, just keeps returning right back to ZERO? Yet it is recording beautifully!
Summary
I do have a STEREO MIX volume control on my PC so it works fine but, I am pretty sure the others complaining here might do well to investigate the audio properties setting in control panel as the stereo mix control is hidden away by default until you go in there and enable it! I think all PCs will have this control or the equivalent as it is required for many things! Summary: this is a really great program, does what you want it to, nice to look at, unobtrusive and easily minimized, low on resources and...
...it is FREE!!!!!
