Version: MP3Gain 1.2.5
"Outside of WinAMP, this is the only other NECESSARY software for music"
Pros: Its free.
It works WONDERS on music that is not very loud.
Its as easy as cake to use, too!
Cons: None that I can think of...well, other than the fact that this isn't exactly a "professional" audio tool. So you get what you pay for. Its a consumer level audio tool. So while this is good enough for your casual music listener the output is nowhere near good enough for audiophiles.

Version: MP3Gain 1.2.5
Pros: There is nothing about this program not to like. Simply the best normalizer out there. It's faster than most due to the fact it doesn't have to convert to wave and then back to mp3. It's lossless, meaning you loose no sound quality and any changes can be undone. You have the option of album normalize or individual file normalize. For the loud freaks there is even a maximum
no clip gain. It really works. You have to try it to believe it! A must have for music lovers. :o)

Version: MP3Gain 1.2.5
Pros: Everything. It does exactly as it states. Pure, unadulterated volume control. Every song perfect without dips up and down. Every song is the exact same perfect level. The perfect companion for ANY music/audio player. A real shame if your computer or music files are without it! Get It Now!
Cons: They don't exist!

"Fantastic - a 'must have' program for mp3 users"
Pros: Easy to use, fast, effective, does not degrade sound quality - in fact many songs actually sound better after using mp3gain. I read a previous reviewer's comment that he felt that it messed up his music. So to be on the safe side, I applied mp3gain to a copy of my music folder. Then I took a sampling of songs and listened to a side-by-side comparison of the before and after versions with headphones. I did not hear any degradation at all. And songs that previously distorted, are clear and distortion-free.
And the best part - I can play all my songs without having to constantly adjust volume levels.
My thanks to the author for keeping it free to use. Great program - I highly recommend.
Cons: None
