This little program lets you trim and normalize audio files, change the tempo or pitch, and strip out vocal tracks. The installation is fast, after which Mp3Doctor immediately opens an online tutorial. The software's main window is small for such a powerful program. All the processes happen rapidly. For example, you press the Karaoke button, select an existing file, then name the karaoke output track, and in seconds Mp3Doctor delivers. Some effects, such as Tempo and Pitch, automatically rename the output track, but most don't. There's no built-in player for checking the effects. The 20-use trial means you only get to try out 20 processes, not 20 sessions. It's annoying how the software pops up registration information before each action, warning you how many uses you have left. Also, the interface could stand more color and some tool tips. Despite its problems, the quality of Mp3Doctor's output should satisfy most music enthusiasts.Publisher's description
From Mp3Doctor :MP3Doctor is an editing tool that lets you check, modify, and improve your MP3 and WAV files. You can repair imperfect songs or modify them with trimming, equalizing, and resampling. The goal is to let you maintain similar quality, volume, and sound on all your MP3s. In addition, the program converts MP3 files to WAV and vice versa. Moreover, the program can handle ID3 tags of MP3 files. The normalize function allows you to get the lower parts of a song to higher levels and to standardize your MP3 collection. The karaoke feature lets the user remove the vocals of an MP3 or WAV file. The pitch and tempo features let the user change tempo (BPM) without changing the pitch, or vice versa.
Version 5.11.056 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

Version: MP3Doctor 5.11.056
Cons: It installed several highly aggressive backdoor trojans in the temp folder. I'm still trying to get them off as we speak. DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM!

Version: MP3Doctor 5.11.056
"normalizer does not function"
Pros: user interface is easy to understand for the most part
Cons: normalize does not work at all there was no change in file on my first attempt the other two times I tried it had an error and the resulting file did not function at all.

Version: MP3Doctor 5.11.056
Pros: The only things that this program are good for are ID3's and minor normalizing adjustments.
Cons: Batch mode doesn't work very often. Unanswered e'mails for program support and to get new keys. Would like another system so that I don't have to hassle with getting a new key. The sound quality is often lacking. The price. There are other much better programs that are 20x this one is for not much more. I could go on.....

"Promises more than it can deliver"
Pros: Nothing positive.
Cons: Crashes with Vista inspite of the "Mp3Doctor PRO is compatible with XP and Vista" marketing gimmick on the www.mp3doctor.com site.
Summary: - The software is buggy with Vista, not sure about XP since I don't have it.
- Only loads one song at a time, crashes when you want to load more than one song
- Customer service is a joke (should've none something was off when I got tech... read more >> -
