...can't get this simple app to work!
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Only a total twit would have a problem with making MP3 Sushi work. I love it and use it 5 days a week 24 hours a day for a little fusion jazz net-station.

"LOOKS NICE BUT DOESN'T WORK!"

I first downloaded 'DOT-POD' to do this and that app didn't work. I say Mr. Sushi post which said that MP3 Sushi was better so I download that and after two hours I am giving up. The GUI looks nice but it simply ISN'T as simple as they want you to believe. The app GUI is nice but the UI for the Jukebox is your standard GNU craptacular looking HTML. The jukebox wouldn't work, the radio was extremely confusing and started playing something that I don't even have?

Less hype, fix the bugs and make every part of the experience look good but more importantly make it work! If 'DOT-POD' worked it would put this one to shame both performance wise, simplicity and looks.

"Error switching frequency"

July 22, 2004  |  By Sarah Baucom

Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have been using this for over a month, and I love it. The only problem I have, is it seems to stop when switching between 44KHz and 48KHz songs. It starts again when I restart the stream, but it is a tad annoying. Not sure if this is an iTunes streaming problem or MP3 Sushi problem. Maybe it could convert the 48KHz songs down to 44KHz to avoid this?

Also, a nice feature would be to have it use iTunes playlists as the broadcast list. Currently I have to copy the songs I want to be broadcast, into another folder (since I don't want my entire collection broadcast).

Great program! :-)

Nice idea, however if you use a web browser, whn you click on a file it tries to open the data as text in the browser!
Try and "download linked file to disk" all you get is the file with "html" tacked on the end, so it shows up as a web document. Remove this and you can play the file. fancy doing this for 100+ files? I thought not...
Get MusicPublisher and use iTunes-you'll have a system that works.

I love it, if only it could use less CPU power!!! 70% power for casting MP3s is a bit much I think (on my iMac TFT 700MHz /w 786 RAM and no other apps running). It causes frequent stalling for connected clients, even though I have more than enough network bandwidth.

jazzer68, yeah just switch it in Preferences -> Network =p
