MP3 Strip It Digital is an all-in-one solution for MP3 creation. It features a CD ripper with CDDB support, an MP3 encoder, and an ID3 tag editor in a single package. The program samples CD audio in real time through Windows' MCI layer, encodes it via the BladeEnc encoder (included), and deletes the intermediary WAV file when finished. It also supports the use of external, high-speed rippers such as CD-DA Extractor, as well as MP3 encoding at bit rates as high as 320Kbps. In addition, it can launch the Windows CD player as well as your MP3 player.

Version 5.7.0.223 improves Audio-Book support.

This CD ripper offers a limited set of features, but we're glad to say it provides a more generous trial period than many similar utilities we've tested. MP3 Strip It Digital's interface could be better designed, as we initially found the main window to be cluttered and chaotic. Nevertheless, seasoned users shouldn't have too tough of a time figuring out how to operate the program. One point against this application is that it can only extract tracks in the format found in its name, neglecting others such as WAV, WMA, and OGG. MP3 Strip It Digital had no problem retrieving track information from the Internet, but we wish it gave you the option to rip files using the VBR system. You will find a basic ID3 tag editor, but the app can't convert files among formats, burn discs, or handle any other audio-related jobs. Still, since this demo will let you extract as many files as you like for a full 15 days, we think it stands as a slightly better choice than many of the other bare-bones rippers on the scene.
