"Totally useless piece of garbage"
Version: MKV to AVI converter 3.2.0.0112
Pros
None worth mentioning
Cons
Very Bad selection of output streams, most forms that should never be used unless only you are watching the output. Poor and non-working interface
Summary
No Xvid, no mp3, no aac? No passthroughs? So if you want an avi file but want to keep multi-channel audio, you can't. If you want to make video cross-platform friendly, you absolutely cannot with this, the output choices for such do not exist! The interface is ugly and badly designed (who wants giant help, website and register buttons that DON'T go away. No dragging and dropping files, you must navigate to the file through "Browse." Doesn't have most common sizes of output video, that would be used from matroska conversion. Refuses to change output directory, attempting to do so fails, and you must click "cancel" to get out of "Browse" window. Many choices in the set-up pull-downs are actually much wider than the text box/pull down, so, several choices are unable to be determined...
Couldn't use this even if I had to. Horrible and not even ready for "Alpha." -
"Crap - Don't bother!"
Version: MKV to AVI converter 3.2.0.0112
Pros
Well, it seems easy, but then why wouldn't it.
Cons
Does a lousy job. The output file is changed from wide-screen to a mashed mess, plays jerky and audio is not heard on a dvd player.
Summary
Bottom line same as top line - Crap.

"Waste of time for a trial."
Version: MKV to AVI converter 3.2.0.0112
Pros
If there were more time allowed, maybe I could say something nice.
Cons
Under 'features' above, it says "NolLimitions". In fact the trial version allows for only up to ONE MINUTE! I would not have bothered to D/L this.
