Version: MD5 Checker 2.2
"I thought we were going forward in time. Win98 look is going back in time."
Pros: Its free.
It checks files and generates MD5 hashes for consistency. Great to maintain integrity of your files.
Cons: Horrible, old, interface.
Its another program you need to run. If you get a program called HashTab, it integrates MD5, SHA1 and CRC32 hash generation into Windows Explorer in the File Properties window.
It ONLY does MD5. HashTab does MD5, SHA1 and CRC32.

in fact the readme tells you it's not going to be pretty. And it isn't. But it also doesn't need installing or touch the registry or create a rollback point. It is a file. It runs. It does what it says on the tin :)
