"it just works"
Version: MD5 Checker 2.31
Pros
small easy to use, and it works
Cons
very basic, not pretty
Summary

"Calculates and compares a MD5 hash fast!"
Version: MD5 Checker 2.31
Pros
Small program. No installer. Does what it is supposed to.
Cons
There's nothing wrong with this product.
Summary
Any time I need to check a MD5 hash, this is the tool I use.

"wrong MD5, free & useless"
Version: MD5 Checker 2.31
Pros
you can you use to bring a headache to someone you don't like
Cons
creates new MD5 every time I use it for the same untouched file !!!!
Summary
I used it to create MD5 before transferring a file across the network, the MD5 didn't match, I downloaded another program and created MD5 for each file and they matched 100%, this tool made me transfer the file twice (yes it still gave different MD5 the second transfer) and it gave different MD5 each time I used it for the same copy in the same place.

"No Edit capability."
Version: MD5 Checker 2.31
Pros
Free. Impressive (if written by a 6th grader)
Cons
Can't edit the md5 code box ???
Summary
Uses the clipboard to enter the md5 code you want to verify, but does not allow you to edit the entry in any way. So if you paste a partial/incorrect code, there is no way to do a simple modification from within the program. Thanks, but I'll roll my own.

"Simply Effective"
Version: MD5 Checker 2.31
Pros
Ease of use, speed and reliability of results...
Cons
as said before no folder checks (however that's a minor disability compared to its overall value)
Summary
Its simple to use, and offers a powerful freeware sub to any MD5 hash checksum checker.... great results
-
"not too shabby"
Version: MD5 Checker 2.31
Pros
it's just a good md5 checksum verification program. does nothing more nothing less
Cons
an odd quirk is that you have to copy the known md5 from the iso before you open the program, as it reads it straight out of the clipboard
Summary
i like it... free, fast, simple... stable, and does what it's supposed to do... now only if winblows lived up to that standard.....

"Extremely useful standalone"
Version: MD5 Checker 2.31
Pros
It is a fully functioning stand alone md5 checker. It lets you make your own md5 sum or compare an existing code to a file. Does no more or less that what it claims.
Cons
crashes when you switch files after comparing md5 (ie: check md5 of linux iso X, and switch files to check md5 of download Y)
