"Simple but powerful renaming. Good interface."

Simple but powerful. Previews changes before making, undo feature, automatic numbering, many other features.
Cons
Can't search for duplicate filenames and change only those; when using recursive renaming to autonumber multiple folders, autonumbering will not use sequential numbers for all files a subfolder.

I've used Lupas Rename on Windows XP, and am now using it on Windows 7, Home Premium, 64 bit. It performs flawlessly. If you need to batch process file name changes, this is a great program. The choices for renaming are amazing (replace this with that; cut specific number of characters at the beginning or end of file name; autonumber with custom adjustments; and much more)!

Lean and mean software that has everything I need for file renaming.
Large file list view window allows parameter file sorting (and sequential numbering).
Preview window shows new filename.
Has undo button.

Does not allow you to open folders located on desktop. Funny name :-)
