Version: Look@LAN Network Monitor 2.5
"Great for knowing who is online on your LAN"
Pros: If you find high-bandwidth network activities slow down your LAN and other users moan, your probably likely to use these features less. Look@LAN shows which nodes are online and offline which I found useful for knowing when I could run torrents.
This software is also useful for debugging network problems - it allows you to run a query on any node that is online to discover the services (ports) that are running and open.
Cons: Just a few minor glitches:
- The HostName column seems to get a little confused sometimes and randomly gets names from the NetBIOS column in the wrong order. This is nothing drastic, just go by the NetBIOS column to be sure of the HostName.
- the sound alert for new hosts/online/offline gets annoying after a while, there doesnt seem to be a way of turning it off (no, unselecting 'sounds' doesnt work
- stability: its crashed a few times i'd say 1 every 50 runs

Version: Look@LAN Network Monitor 2.5
"Very Handy Tool, but features need explaining..."
Pros: A very quick & easy install. The program is great for telling you who's online in your home or office. This is useful information when you want to download a large file or torrent.
Cons: There are no instructions included & it is up to you to guess what the buttons and features are for. This would probably be a great program, if there were a way to figure it out. (The Help button is useless - it just takes you to a website that basically tells you that your wasting your time looking for their help).
Also - the sound effects are very annoying and can scare the wits out of you if your speakers are not set to low volume.

Version: Look@LAN Network Monitor 2.5
Summary: It good and I like it but I'm having some problems because it installed it self in Spanish or
French and not English. And I can't get it to install in English format.
