    "Good mice, crap software..."

    February 13, 2010  |   By another_owl

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Although better than their last dismal effort (3.1) which rendered my mouse unusable, this revision (3.2) brings up anomalies yet again. The worst one being that at arbitrary moments the arrow curser will disappear from where it is only to have jumped to a corner or to one side of the screen. Disconcerting as it's so quick you can't spot where the cursor has gone till you jiggle the mouse. When this happens often, mouse becomes a pain to use. Another example: if I use one of my mouse buttons to control the application switcher function, it appears, but in an unstable state, furiously revolving through the various application icons without settling on any. On top of that, OSX's Spaces screen comes up as well, visible behind the application switcher.

There are probably other inanities & bugs I haven't discovered yet. But you know what? I'm not even going to bother. Out it goes. Too few revisions that plainly don't work. And Logitech just can't be bothered to create drivers which work consistently for OSX nor are they proactive enough to quickly right their wrongs. Back to USB Overdrive which works perfectly.
