Pros
Stable windows platform that works OK for common US pilot logging needs.
Cons
Does not work with Mac. Does not have functioning droid, iPhone, tablet or iPad sync options. Gets expensive as you have to pay every year for basic continuing functions. $30 for a year of sync? And even with sync, the mobile apps don't natively compute flight or duty time limitations that commercial pilots need.
Summary
Logbook Pro has the flat tired feel of a Microsoft program from the 1990s. It worked fine 10 years ago, but hasn't taken any advantage of the increases in computing power or mobility since then. Lots of pilots used to use this program with a Palm Pilot app that worked great. But the developer has never duplicated the functionality of that app for droid or iPhone. No one I fly with uses it now. Many have switched to LogTen, which does a lot of amazing cool stuff (automatically calculates night time based on knowing the airport's coords and the OOOI times or allowing you to add photos).
With no 30/7 functionality on the mobile apps, the yearly $$$ for required subscriptions, and the lack of new features, this seems to be an old program on the decline.
