Version: LogMeIn Hamachi 1.0.2.5
Pros: This program has its uses, have you ever wanted to play an online game with a friend privatley without noobs and minges getting on, but without having to pay for a proper server? Well this is you answer to that problem.
The program allows most games (I have only tested out source games such as Half Life 2: deathmatch and Garrysmod)to connect over a fake LAN and create servers to use, you have to invite people into your network before they can use it so it is partially secure and it is also easy enough to understand and use.
Cons: I am not too sure what happens when you run this on a PC with no security and someone you dont know joins the netwrok because you forgot to password it, so I am not saying this is 100% secure but the risk is worth it...just remember to protect your PC.
The program can also take a while to log into the LogMeIn networks.

"Does exactly what it is made for."
Pros: Perfect to share files with friends and family as if they would be in your same local network, even if they are far away!
Great to play videogames!
Cons: You have to save your profile manually, no backup/restore profile options available.

Version: LogMeIn Hamachi 1.0.2.5
Pros: This takes the work out of figuring out how to setup a VPN. I can access my home computers from the road using my Sprint EVDO card.
Cons: I think I'm missing something in setting up my NAT routers/firewalls. I'm unable to find a good description of exactly what I need to do. The previous review said he didn't need to do port forwarding, but I did need to configure port forwarding on 2 routers. I think it's not the Hamachi software for any "VPN" for that matter but I'm not finding the help. It took me 4 evenings of trial and error to get it right after change the default UDP ports on each client and then setting up port forwarding for each... I think I'm doing it wrong, but it works.
