Version: LogMeIn Free 4.0.982
Pros: Easy to install and use. Very helpful with a parent who lives a little bit away but often needs help. Log on - see the screen and either direct the person with what to do or do it yourself from a distance.
Cons: Watch the install. You think you are installing the free version but instead install the trial full version. Of course once you use the full version you are not satisfied with the free version.
Summary: Great tool to have and use if you help other or need help yourself. Saves a lot of driving 'over the river and through the woods' to grandpa's house. read more

"Very happy to have this tool."
Pros: When I just don't understand the problem my son logs on and presto, he finds and explains it to me. It's like teaching a man to fish. So much better than trying to explain problems on the phone.
Cons: I am not qualified to be critical.
Summary: Everyone who is ever called upon to help with a computer snafu could find this a streamlined approach to problem solving. read more

"Great program for business people that travel."
Pros: Easily connects and allows you to manipulate your computer (or anyone's) as if you were in front of it. Great for troubleshooting issues or just viewing files.
Cons: Computer must be left on and you must upgrade to the paid version in order to transfer files.
Summary: Overall a great program that is easy to use and everyone should have. read more

Pros: Lets you control a remote desktop just like you were there.
Cons: Can't transfer files. But what do want for free?
Summary: I use this all the time to connect to my Dad's PC to help when he's having problems. Great for assisting PC novices. read more
