"It's not really "Free""
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.1.2138
Pros
It works but comes with a price.
Cons
The price is relentless advertising for the Pro version ($40/year). I got one and sometimes two emails a day to upgrade to Pro. So much so that I had to remove the software - which is not so easy. Then it took three weeks and numerous "unsubscribe" before they got the idea that I didn't want their idea of "free." BTW this software works a lot like Screens Connect which I had already paid $9 for.

"Convenient and safe."
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.1.2138
Pros
I can and have worked with my home PC from anywhere. I can log in from libraries and hotels when I'm traveling and do anything I could do at home.
Cons
To "share" data, the host must open and copy the data so that the host clipboard is loaded. Then, the clipboards can be synchronized and a local file be created from the a local clipboard paste. Sometimes, this will not work if the app that made the data is not available on the guest. For example, Microsoft Word.
Summary
A super app. For my personal use the pro version seem much more than what I need. If prices decrease in the future, maybe I'll go pro. Also, I'm not crazy about spending on an annual basis. I'd rather it be like Office - if I want the new version, I buy it, but if it offers me little, I continue to run the old version.

"Avoid this product."
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.1.2138
Pros
The product itself works fine.
Cons
Sales methods. Charging policies. They will charge your expired cards if you forget to cancel! No refunds. They will try to sell you paid products constantly.
Summary
Go for one of the alternatives.

"After 2 years the program becomes inoperable"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.1.2138
Pros
great for first 2 years, great for my needs, and even great free functions for those that want to try before buy.
Cons
Extremley Bad after a honeymoon period
Summary
I montior computers, so a login can take as little as 1 minute (Sometimes 5) just to make sure the computer is doing its job. Suddenly without warning the delay has increase 20 fold, and now 1 minute has turned into a very painful waiting game.
Not the internet connection, not the computer speeds, the only thing it can be is Logmein.
currently I am trying to login in, and in the spare time bewteen clicks I am doing reviews...
Shame, I am cancelling after this term. -
"LogMeIn plays dirty !!"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.1.2138
Pros
I have used it a few times for remote control of friend's PCs and it has not failed me yet. Probably good software, all in all, but that is not the problem.
Cons
LogMeIn will give you a free license. And it will support three remote connections, defined to their site. But when you go back to try and change the list that is initially set up, by downloading to a new remote PC, they will NOT allow you to set up a new FREE account. Instead, they tell you that you are setting up a free trial account. And there is no option on their website that will give you the right action. They are playing shifty with the word FREE, and it is NOT. All you get is a 14 day free trial.
Summary
So if you are trying to support Aunt Martha in Kansas, and you use this product, it will work for a while and then the account will expire. Then Aunt Martha calls you in desperation on the 15th day, and you are locked out. Sorry, Aunt Martha!! That to my advice is NOT FREE. This corner they back you into has happened to me twice. The first time I was able to call and get the problem rectified. The second time, they don't answer the phone. No support for you !!

"Ruined My Phone!"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.1.2138
Pros
I wouldn't know what Pros is has, as it never worked. I was not able to log in, despite help fromtheir tech support. And completely destroyed my Motorola Atrix.
Cons
My phone is now nearly useless, with theapp causing it to spontaneously shut down and restart over and over and over, often within 4-10 minute intervals, and at leats 20+ times per day. I unistalled the app, and it imrpvoed only minimally. Their tech support will not help me, nor can AT&T. The latter had me do a facctory reset, which solved nothing. AT&T will not help, nor will LogMeIn, and I have been told the only solution is to BUY ANOTHER PHONE. Wow did I get screwed on this one. I have two products that are useless and now have been given the "opportunity" to buy a new phone.
Summary
Don't get this app for your Android phone unless youare prepared to shell out the casjh for a replacement.

"Used to be good"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.1.2138
Pros
Easy to configure. Gets around firewall issues
Cons
Does not work well when remote machine is running Windows 7
Summary
I have been using LMI for a years. It was great. Then they changed something. Now a remote sesion to a Windows 7 machine can take 30 seconds for a screen redraw. Totally useless. The LMI techs just give the usual BS answers.

"Not available for All OS listed"
Version: LogMeIn Free 4.1.2138
Pros
Nice features.
Cons
Does not work with anything older than Windows 2000. So, don't know why they list that NT/98/Me are listed as supported options. This is per the documentation on the LogMeIn website.
Summary
Ok, but if you want a solution VNC is still a viable option and it's free.
