"Elegant, intuitive, powerful...with great support"
Version: Living Cookbook 2008 2.0.51
Pros
An extraordinary range of features and capabilities, in an amazingly well-behaved application. I've rarely seen a piece of software that delivers so much value for such a modest price. Toques off to Living Cookbook 2008.
Cons
I've yet to find a flaw.

Easy to use and customize. Great price and this is much better than MasterCook. The customer support is the best I have ever seen in any software!
Cons
Need automatic update notification or update link in Help file.

"Absolutely the best cooking software & support system!"
Version: Living Cookbook 2008 2.0.51
Pros
The program is easy to use, attractive, and efficient. You can run a restaurant with the software, or manage a small personal kitchen; either way, it's a snap. The technical support is the best and most personal I've ever seen.
Cons
There is nothing not to like!
Summary
I've been using cooking software since the DOS version of Master Cook about 17 years ago. I've tried them all and none of them compare to the features in Living Cookbook 2008. My favorite feature is the Navigator Treeview, which allows you to sort your recipes and arange them any way you like (I keep mine with the same headings as my cookbook). This new version figures nutrition values automatically, which is very important to me. And the support...Lee Grainger is a one-man show and has managed to keep everyone content and running with the old version while he worked on the 2008 release. It's defintely worth the $34.95 - once you copy your first recipe from the internet, or import a chapter from your current program, you'll be sold. Don't even waste your time with the trial version!

"Best cooking software ever. Can't imagine using another"
Version: Living Cookbook 2008 2.0.51
Pros
The capture capability (to copy/paste recipes from the web) is superior as well as the ability to add web images. Nutrition information is easily calculated and is almost completely automatic. I like being able to "flag" recipes I've made
Cons
I'm still working with this new version, and I haven't found anything I don't like yet!
Summary
Bottom line is that Living Cookbook 2008 far surpasses the other cooking software programs I've either used or tried (MasterCook/Big Oven, to name two). You should try it for yourself; the cost is nominal for a program that, in all likelihood, contains exactly the criteria you're looking for. And Lee Grainer's support is excellent and quick. I don't know how he finds the time for his responses, added on to the development he works on! Kudos, Lee, and thanks for a superior product.
