"Poor old-fashioned interface, poor codecs"
Version: Live CD Ripper 3.2.1
Pros
None, no interest.
Cons
Poor UI, slow to use in fact, and very CPU-intensive.
Bogous/poor codecs. Very poor audio quality.Summary
This is in fact much too long to use only because of the UI. There are much better programs that will automate many more things, allowing us to rip audio files more instantly, creating a folder that we can then cutomize and reorganize more easily from the Windows Desktop Explorer, which is MUCH better than this poor program and allows better reorganization/sorting/searches in our music files.
If the software is just made for ripping, it should do that instantly with less pain. The look and feel is more than 15-years old, made for the times of Windows 95.
And the audio codecs provided by this program are TERRIBLE ! (lots of audible bugs, quirks, poor audio quality, we even get inaudible tracks, notably for the bogous AAC files that it generates). Don't use it !
Prefer using relaiable codecs from famous writers, and use any decent media player to get an UI around them, if you want such UI.
There are better tools to automate the ripping, usign the best codecs that you have on your system. -
