Version: LimeWire X 4.18.8
"A great software package for your iTunes collection."
Pros: The Pro version worked over a pathetic connection.
Cons: The basic version wasn't sophisticated enough to work in a narrow bandwidth environment.
Summary: Even over a truly slow connection - way too many users and not enough bandwidth here in Kandahar, the Pro version was still able to tunnel its way through the maze and get downloads to my computer. BRAVO! read more

Pros: It works great, as long as you know what to watch out for. When downloading songs, make sure the song has a BitRate next to it, otherwise there's a 90% change it's a virus. If you're not paying attention, you deserve a virus infection on your PC.
Cons: Since the average person has no observational skills, it is easy for the average user to get a virus infection. They really need to have better way so discerning which files are bad and which files are good.

Pros: The new Limewire Alpha is out right now that makes it like a browser window with some very cool features & totally unLimewire where you also have more control over the features...Limewire is going Social...& off to a good start with Alpha...
Cons: I've had Lime off & on like everyone else...Its been a rollercoaster ride with dogging viruses with the Basic...Not getting enough quality in mp3's or videos & you never download anything else from LW..Its sure to have trouble on it...
