Version: LimeWire Beta 5.0.11
"a start but ..."
Pros: Some nice changes. Glad they added a proper chat feature. :)
Cons: I agree with the other user responders earlier, missing information & tools that we all previously enjoyed using. Only gives 10 download slots, whereas previous versions were unlimited. (Unless you backed up a copy of old preferences :p)
Summary: A nice start to a new version, however obviously needs more work. Not sure why they made a beta version the official release. Leave the beta versions for the beta testers & give us the fixed version final releases. :) Images window good but lacking info about the files. Too many photo iimages tends to slow loading down when opening program. Likewise lots of music files. Nice to be able to switch to Classic view for search window, gives a window like previous versions & viiew options for more info. We are not so dumb we do not need that info. lol Browse host is now improved, not based on silly things like if the user has chat enabled like previously. That is important for my personal use of the program. So now I can check if a user has more similar files or other files I might be interested in, this includes people uploading from me. Some older tools missing, however rumor has it that some will be returning in next updates. (BTW like 99% of all mac osx programs, the preferences are accessed via command-comma keys. Unless it was designed by a windows monkey. lol :p)
