"Great Alternative for Microsoft Office Picture Manager"
Version: Light Image Resizer 1.1
Pros
It is quick, easy to use and free. It also works with Vista. Just find the folder where your pictures are, select the pictures you want to compress or resize, right click on you selection, select the settings you want to apply (size, compression quality, resize originals, copy originals, etc.. Highly recommended for compression and resizing.
Cons
This software is for resizing and compressing only. You will have to use another software to correct the image of your picture, crop, etc. For Vista users I recommend the software that comes with your OS: Windows Photo Gallery or download HP Photosmart Essentials.

"Simply everything you need for resizing."
Version: Light Image Resizer 1.0.11
Pros
Simple to use. Lots of options. Can resize, alter the file format, add a watermark etc. You can also perform a batch resize (of any file name length).
Cons
Only down side is that it always has to add an addition to the filename, such as 'original resolution'. No major problem but it would have been nice to have the option of leaving the file name untouched.

"Makes the image resizeing easier"
Version: Light Image Resizer 1.0.1
Pros
Pretty nice tool for resizeing. Those drop-down lists makes your life much easier. The resizer works fast and the right-click menu makes it even faster to get used to it. I hope they'll improve it with defineable functions later like "Resize to 000x000", etc.
Cons
No offline (online?) help. i know that most people don't know they can select or deselect 1-1 files while holding the Ctrl button pressed with left-clicks. This and some other tips (best practises, etc.) are missing.
Lack of fine renameing functions (cause of missing help: if you rename profile, that'll be used between the file names [] signs).
Correct me if i'm wrong - can happen -, but no licence?
