    "Terrible version; don't use it!"

    September 1, 2012  |   By banewman64

    It's free...and that's about all it's worth!

I can no longer save files with MS Office extensions and have them read or used by MS Office users. Useless!

I installed this newest version of LibreOffice expecting that it would work as wonderfully as the 3.5 version that I've had for a while. NOT SO! I worked on a spreadsheet for some colleagues, saved it as an .xls file so it would open fine with MS Office, but none of my co-workers could open it. I tried, re-tried, and re-tried again, but no change. Turns out that I wasn't the only Mac user that had this same problem come up with this version of LibreOffice. DON'T INSTALL IT!!! Stick with the old version and don't do the update!
