"Exactly What I wanted, If only it worked right"
Version: Libellus Personal Library 1.2.1
Pros
Exactly what I was looking for, love the check out section
Cons
Bugs in the editing option, and (as said above) the tabs shouldn't go away every time. There looks like theres also some bugs in the check out selection but I haven't had a chance to play around with it too much
Summary
I hope the author keeps going with this software because I really do like it!

"LOVE IT, exactly what I was looking for, a library app."
Version: Libellus Personal Library 1.2.1
Pros
Great program, easy to use and allows easy adding of books and auto add via ISBN online search.
Cons
no book cover picture or way to include it, download it and interact using it. no way to search online for books to add to library via other options other than isbn (i.e title, author, etc).
Summary
Great program, especially if you are looking for a free way to keep track of your book collection and also have the ability to use your collection as a library with check-in/out features, a great enhancement would be to include the cover of the book.

"It will print out the book list that I need."
Version: Libellus Personal Library 1.2.1
Pros
It prints out what I need as long as I play with it to get what I want. Thank goodness for print preview.
Cons
The ISBN lookup feature works when it wants to. When it works, the data is never uniform. You can change it. You can't add a photo of the book. There is some options I still can't figure out. The help link is useless.
Summary
I have tried several book databases and this is the best overall program I have used. It enables me to print out the database so I don't buy duplicate books. I have four databases on this program and I don't see any limit on how many you can have.

"It's freeware so it doesn't have to be perfect!"
Version: Libellus Personal Library 1.2.1
Pros
Overall, I am very pleased with the book catalog. Just what I needed - a way of cataloging my books with easy sort/select options to view the list. I liked that it could retrieve much of the book's info from amazon just by providing the ISBN..
Cons
It does have a few minor bugs but nothing worth mentioning.
Summary
I like the product. It is simple and easy to use. I liked that it could retrieve much of the book's information from amazon just by providing the ISBN. The sort/select feature makes it easy to find the books by author or subject. The only enhancements I can think of is that it would also be handy if it could look up by title/author since I spent a lot of time looking up the ISBN's. It would also be nice if when you select columns to view, it could save it under a preference so I wouldn't have to select the columns every time I bring it up. I would also like to be able to save the print report as a text file so I could put it on my PDA to have it at the book store so I know what books I have/don't have before buying.
Over all I am very pleased with it. -
"It's freeware, so you can't be too choosy. It's ok"
Version: Libellus Personal Library 1.2.1
Pros
Relatively straightforward to use
Free
ISBN lookup saves a great deal of time and typing (no use of course for CD's and DVD's)Cons
Didn't know about the 100 items limit ( ?create a second collection?)
place where you log the price you paid doesn't save the information
if you change view settings (fields viewed), it doesn't save them
DVD and CD's a bit awkward to logSummary
It could use a tutorial, or at least a basic intro help screen.
I forgot to say, if you edit the title more than once, although it says it saves, it doesn't seem to. I did a typo the first time, then we got a second copy, so I added Copy 1 to the title of the first one, and it won't save it. I had to delete the item and then re-enter it.
Not being able to set it up permanently for how you want to view it is annoying.
100 item limit should have been disclosed. Haven't hit that yet, will try creating a second collection.
Also, all monetary units are in US$. I want to be able to change the country. eg, I live in Australia, but sometimes buy books from overseas like the US and the UK.
It's shareware, so I can't complain too much. We wanted something free for our church library. You get what you pay for. :D

"excellent but has limit of 100 books per library"
Version: Libellus Personal Library 1.2.1
Pros
ISBN entry, batch additions
Cons
hitting undocumented limit of 100 books triggers faulty "already exists" notice (bug); some users may not like .Net Framework requirement.
Summary
very well down except for bug noted above; limit also noted above should be disclosed in advance along with .Net requirement.
