    "Great Game"

    May 5, 2010  |   By ppierce77

    Version: Legends of Terris 0.423

    Pros

Great rp enviroment, great guild, temple, household structures, gain city, guild, and temple ranks. RP is encouranged and rewarded. Old school gaming kept alive and updated monthly.

    Cons

None - the price they mention is an option you can also play for free

    Summary

If you enjoy roleplaying this is the game for you. If you want to see what rp is about, this is the game for you. This game is a text based semi-graphic MUD, you should learn what that is before you coming here thinking it is a typical mmorpg. Thousands of quests, monsters, and huge game enviroment to explore. This is how it all began, some come on over and give it a try. Send Crucifix a TELL when you start the game, I will help guide you through the basic commands that will set in motion a rp experience like none you have ever known.

"Legends of Terris is SUPPOSED to be text based"

    August 8, 2009  |   By sylvangale

    Version: Legends of Terris 0.423

    Pros

Legends of Terris has is a text based fantasy game that's been around for over 10 years. The graphical interface is really a front end to make it easier to do things. One really can get around just typing text.

    Cons

When you get up in age, it gets difficult to level up and on top of that it's very easy to lose all your experience earned in game play when you die. It makes the game much less fun than it used to be.

    Summary

This was my favorite of the many text based games out 10 years ago. I haven't really played any text based games in a long while. My last Terris log in was 2006! My characters are still there. At least they gain age modifiers.

    "Not worth $15/month....not worth $.01/century."

    November 15, 2006  |   By modemholdem

    Version: Legends of Terris 0.423

    Pros

I liked this game when it was free. Now it is $15/month (as much as a graphic MMORPG). The game had approximately 600+ players on at any given time when it was free. Now that they charge, you're lucky if there are 40 people on during peak hours. The only "pro" about Terris, if any, is that it USED to be a good game. The strength was the huge playerbase and roleplaying community which was very nice...they killed that.

    Cons

This game used to be amazing. Then, the creators got greedy. Now they just let it sit there on the web, raking in as much money as they can from the few addicts left. The game has not even been updated since they started charging, more than a minor change or two. The staff are rude. They don't use real customer service but instead insist on 100% always roleplaying and thus think they are actual GODS (even in customer service queries). So you have to bow and be polite or you get a smite or something. Run by greedy and socially inept British computer nerds, stay away from this game. Go spend your FIFTEEN BUCKS A MONTH on something like an actual MMORPG with graphics or alcohol.

"This is only a free trial which means it has limitations"

    October 6, 2006  |   By rpg-collecter

    Version: Legends of Terris 0.423

    Pros

    I like their game description.

    Cons

I went to their website. They are calling this game only a free trial. To me that means you eventually have to pay for it. It should not be listed as free.

    "Excelent Throught The Years"

    October 28, 2005  |   By GageEndal

    Version: Legends of Terris 0.423

    Pros

Legends of Terris expands your mind to a world that you can come to embrase just as strongly as you did with the D20 games such as Dungeons and Dragons and Dragonlance. You enter a very strongly built game that has been tried and true for the last 13 years, and will remain to be strong for the next 132 years.

    Cons

There are a few typos in the room descriptions and I would like to see a few more players to converse with. I remember back in the days when Terris would have thousands of players just lining up to join the guilds of their choice and adventure throught the night.
