    "Great! BUT, the CNET version requires a password..."

    Pros

    Great software overall! BUT, don't download it here on CNET. The version here requests a password, which it says, "You are required to enter a PASSWORD. Check your E-Mail for this password." It goes on...see more below.

    Cons

    The free version is only available via the developer's website. Visit:
    http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/DownloadLegacy.asp#Download

    That is the free version.
