"Too simple, Lacking 'Undo/Back' feature"

The program is very simple, straight forward and can be used by any age group to create a very big family tree in no time at all. As you make the family tree, you feel it's absolutely hassle free.Cons
There are limits on how many wives you can list and if you select a wrong gender, you have to delete that member altogether and create a new one in order to rectify it.
Summary
A brilliant progarm that just lacks a big punch upgrade.

"Outstanding Genealogy Program!"

Well disappointment blankets the general public users of Legacy Family Tree once again with the concept that public would finely be able to use the long promised core searchable database familysearch.org. The newly released version 7.5 just as 7.4 still has no access to the familysearch.org database unless you are a member of the organizations church. Familysearch.org does offer a free searchable online database that is available to the general public on their website at https://www.familysearch.org/. The Legacy 7.5 program is a strong database for storing your genealogy data with dozens of features for data and picture storage and hopefully the programmers will develop a general public version with the above search features so everyone can enjoy this awesome program. I got upset with the release of 7.4 and went to several others to try out that contained great search abilities with cut and paste abilities but none of them compared to the enhanced core storage capabilities of version 7.4. Guys, at least use the public database until familysearch.org allows public access to their databases and also focuses on other searchable database such as anceserty.com and you will then have the most complete unbeatable genealogy program package offered!

I ordered the delux edition of this software. My credit card was charged. I recieved no reciept, no code for on-line download, and no software CD. Their phone number has been disconnected. They do not respond to e-mail.
Summary
This company has gone out of business, but will still take your money!! Please beware! I thought the reviews on this product looked pretty good, so that is why I tried to buy the software. If you look at the reviews, most were written on the same day (oct 13, 2010) with all 5 stars. This company is now a scam. It may have been good at one point, but it is now a hoax.

Web page creation is not accurate. Pictures attached to vital records (birth, baptism, death, burial and marriage) are not included in reports.

Everything. Support is very responsive and responds faster that any other software company I have ever encountered on the rare occasion I had a question.
Cons
Nothing to complain about.
Summary
It is very flexible and handles all my needs. It has a learning curve to use it to its maximum potential but in basic data entry a complete novice can install it and start using it without further directions.

Pros
Legacy has functions you probably never thought of but once you use them, you can't live without them. The developers have made the program user friendly and intuitive but with so many functions, it is a great help to get the video tutorials.
Cons
Video tutorials, while extremely valuable, do cost extra money that many might not be able to afford. They do run specials from time to time, particular during major genealogy conferences.
Summary
Some of my favorite features: bookmarking individuals for quick access, using a "clipboard" to add events & sources to multiple individuals or fields, a function that highlights all of the direct line ancestors so you can follow your way back to yourself easily, relationships to yourself can be displayed automatically, ability to work with NFS, dual screen function so you can view two files at once or one file and an internet site if you want. THINGS I'D LIKE: Ability to search subscription and non subscription sites from within Legacy; ability to create & edit charts/documents/books from within Legacy instead of exporting to another program and then trying to fix pagination, etc. - You can create them but if you want to change things or tweak them in some way, you have to do it somewhere else

Easy data entry. Many options for reports, data formating which is a must. The absolute best program for publishing reports, books, & charts. The developers response to users requests.
Cons
I have no complains for Legacy.
Summary
This is the best genealogy program available - bar none. I have used almost all of the other genealogy s/w programs and love Legacy Family Tree. Super easy to use and has all the options to get as complex data entry as you could every want. The charting is really, really good. I would highly encourage you to try it if you have any other program -- you won't go back once you use it.

Interface is great, easy to use, can be used as it suites you, yor not tied down to someone elses idea of how a genealogy program should be used. Great support from Millennia, and other users via newsgroup. I've tried them all and Legacy F/T is best.
Cons
It is hard to find something not to like about this product. Every user would have something they don't like. Mine is the fact that I could use the program for the rest of my life and still not use it to its full potential.

Legacy is very easy to use. I started entering data immediately after first installing it, without reading the help or the manual I'd purchased. Great support when/if you need it, either directly from the company or via the user group mailing list
Cons
I wish there was a chart that showed everyone in the tree. Plenty of other charts to choose from, though.
Summary
I am very glad this was the first genealogy program I encountered. It has never disappointed, over the six years I've been using it now. I would not (and don't) hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a genealogy/family history program.

"Seems like a good free software but no Unicode support"

Free. It works in capturing family relationship data.
Cons
UI is a little old looking and outdated. No Unicode support. I have family from other countries and their names have never been romanized, so it is not useful to me.

No Unicode and UI is outdated, but it is free.
