Leawo PowerPoint to Video provides a simple tool for converting slideshows to video. Its professional layout, focused functions and simplicity make this a great choice for those seeking to view their PowerPoint presentations in new ways.

The program's interface instantly impressed us with its professional design and its simple layout. We never felt compelled to seek out Help file instructions, because the entire process felt so intuitive. We were able to build a queue of PowerPoint files for conversion within a few minutes, which was nice but expected. The program's biggest surprise came from the variety of file types we could convert to. Everything was available, from traditional video formats like .avi to the iPod-friendly MP4 format on down to Xbox-compatible files. The conversion took a few minutes, but it didn't feel long considering we were converting a slideshow with over 20 slides. When the conversion was finished, the data and images looked exactly the same in their old and new formats. The program also provided a few features for customization, such as lag time between slides and adding music, which were nice but not deal breakers. Overall, Leawo PowerPoint to Video is a sleek program that performs its job with no troubles, just how we expected.

Leawo PowerPoint to Video leaves a watermark on output during its trial period. With a professional look and excellent results, we highly recommend this program to anyone looking to perk up their PowerPoint presentations.

"Why bother?"

May 11, 2012  |  By az_maverick26

 |  Version: Leawo PowerPoint to Video Pro 2.2.2.58

Pros

Took 45 minutes to convert a complex 200 slide PPT.

Cons

Don't even bother with the Free version. I'm all for them leaving a watermark, but this one is ridiculously large, and right in the middle of the screen. Other programs I tried at least put it in the bottom corner. Where this watermark shows up totally screws up the presentation.

Also, for videos inside the slideshow...it just removed it..Doesn't even show the black box, just removed the whole thing. I'm assuming the Pro version wouldn't be able to convert it either.

"Seems to fit description."

 |  Version: Leawo PowerPoint to Video Pro 2.2.2.58

Pros

Easy to buy, download, install. Intuitive to use after reading short tutorial. Decent value.

Cons

Took about an hour to receive registration email after purchase. My credit card company disapproved the transaction at first to contact me before they allowed the purchase - I don't know what alerted them in the transaction.

Summary

I downloaded this software after a brief search around Google looking for something to create a video presentation from PowerPoint. I think this is going to work after playing around with a short test PPTX (PowerPoint 2007). Value seems good. I upgraded to ability to burn DVD, but I haven't used that feature yet. Free version has some limitations that aren't present in Pro version. Pro certainly better than Free (even aside from watermark). You do have to create your complete PPT with narration recorded before creating the video. And this works well - the timing of each slide is automatically adjusted for the length of the narration associated with each slide. Animation created in PPT appears nicely in final video. And video that is linked into the PPT is inserted into final video without a hitch.
