Summary
Avoid this product and this company at all costs. The Leawo website claims customer support and phone support which are non-existent and forums which are either empty or full of customer questions with no Leawo answers.
I purchased the Leawo Blu-ray Creator to add to my suite of Blu-ray burning software as it seemed to come highly rated. But within hours of purchasing the software I discovered that there is no display of how much space the converted video required to burn which meant burning blind and taking the chance that my project would not fit and my BD-R would be wasted.
After several attempts using extremely small video files it turned out everything I burned was unplayable. I used all the same hardware as I do with all other Blu-ray burning programs - all of which continue to work - but the Leawo program continued to put out unplayable discs.
That's when I discovered that the link for phone support on the Leawo site links to an email contact page as does the support link. The emails I received - all seven of them - only asked why I didn't use their trial version first. None of them would address my issue or attempt to help me with them.
I opened a complaint against them with Paypal hoping to get a more helpful response but it was the same.
Avoid this program and this company at all costs. Before purchasing any software check the links on support and look at the companies internal forums and faq's. I made the mistake of not doing that with Leawo but you don't have to. -

Absolutely laden with malware called "Relevant Knowledge". It asks you to accept or decline installing the Relevant Knowledge software on your system. I specifically declined, yet it was installed anyway. What's the point of offering an option to decline a tag-a-long software if it's just going to install it anyway?
Relevant Knowledge is a known spyware and is considered so because it records a history of the computer's internet use and then sends it back to the parent company. This includes purchases, etc.
It is also known to install by what are called "drive by" tactics, meaning you could visit a web page and it can silently install on your system.
Yes, that's the type of software I want on my machine (NOT!)
Highly suggest Malwarebytes to clean your system if you decide to install this software. Very surprised this is on Cnet.Summary

Shame on this awful "new" website for not doing a better job of screening this junk. The "owners" of this site says this is a clean program, and that is an outright lie Starting with "Hey guys, let us install Incredimail for you." I've lost all confidence in this site. BTW, apparently you cannot mention the "C" site owners by name, wont take my review.

Summary
Free version comes bundled with 3rd party software which installs rlservice.exe, which Commodo Firewall flagged as malware. Tried to convert MOV to AVI...within a few minutes the audio was no longer synced with the video.

Free but with the free-bee you can only rip a whole chapter or title. Rips fast, easy to use.
Cons
Did not work with a commercial disk I tried to back up to AVI. Couldn't get satisfactory answer. I was banned from the board after one question!
Summary
I was prepared to purchase the full version of this product. However the free version would not recognize some of my commercial DVD's. I asked on the forum if I was doing something wrong. I was in no way hostile nor spamming, in fact, I said I liked the ease of use of the product very much, but wanted to know if it worked with all DVD formats, which it clearly did not, as far as I could tell, before I purchased the full version.
When I returned to the board, I encountered this message "You have been permanently banned from the boards. A ban has been placed on your IP address." Um...okay....ask a question about the product and how to use it....get banned?
If this is how they handle potential customers, I certainly don't want to pay to download their products and then have difficulty getting help later. I'll stick with buying a copy of the other AVI ripper program I have on my main computer. -
"Advertised As Free. It Isn't"

Quick and easy install. Simplistic interface. Batch converts just about any filetype.
Cons
Not free as advertised. This is a very limited demo with no option for quality, size or anything.
Summary
If your only intention is to convert from one format to another, this program is fine and free, If you want to do anything else, you have to buy it. It is a demo, and should be advertised as such.

"DON'T DO IT!! Comes with very malicious spyware!!"

Pros
1st install and avi conversion went fine, but 2nd stall included the spyware, RevelantKnowledge, bundled with this app. During the install, a RevKnowledge screen comes up, saying I could uninstall it later if I want. NOT TRUE! Don't believe them!
Cons
I'm still not done removing pieces of malware off my laptop. It turned off my firewall.. I couldn't shut down my computer.. it infected my registry and has imbedded executable files in various folders which defy manual removal after hours of trying.
Summary
If Malawarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware (both great AV apps that found the remnant files that Norton couldn't) along with other efforts won't clean up my dlaptop, I'll have to rebuild my machine. No thanks to Leawo for allowing themselves to be paid (bought) by this sleazy, unethical vendor. I'd like the folks at RevelantKnowledge to go to give me back my day for dealing with their crap program!! Stay away from this software or you'll be very, VERY sorry!! I am..
