Version: Lavavo CD Ripper 4.04
Pros: Nothing at all!!!
Cons: i bought this product with the intention of ripping the tracks of my CDs so that I could upload them onto my ipod. Right after I bought it I realised that itunes (which is a freeware and available for PC users) is far better than CD ripper 4.03 for the following reasons:
CD ripper is considerably slower than itunes in terms of ripping tracks.
CD ripper's CDBB (which is a database where the name of the album as well as tracks are retrieved from) doesn't recognise CDs purchased in Brazil or Japan (they're all legal CDs of course), whereas itunes' CDBB promptly did the job.
CD Ripper is not equipped with an audio warning that lets you know when the ripping's finished, which is not a biggy, but could be a nice feature to be added in future editions of this software.
I could not get CD ripper to burn my mp3 files. Tried everything, even read their tutorials and what was apparently easy to deal with became a nightmare.
In a nutshell, DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT. Download itunes (for free) instead to rip your CDs. If you want to burn your mp3s,then also download Snapper CD DVD burner (also available at download.com FOR FREE) and you're away and laughting.
I hope the makers of CD Ripper read this and consider refunding me!!! I already deleted their software from my computer. I feel mislead and RIPPED!!!
