  Version: Lavasoft Personal Firewall 1

  "$29.95! Why?"

  Pros: Why would anyone pay for an average, at best firewall? No pros at all! The poor reviews speak for themselves.

  Cons: Weak against new types of attacks like DLL injection. The price is rediculas when you can get a free firewall (Comodo) that does pass all known leak tests! Hard to uninstall, short trial, overpriced and poor customer support tops it off as a poor program. Evan if it were free it still wouldn't be a good app! Get a grip "Lavasoft" !

  After reading both your ratings (Ad-Aware SE (free) and Ad-Aware Plus Firewall, I could find no real fault (nor much help) from either.

  On second thought, after re-reading review 2 (Ad-Aware pay version) I came away thinking that number 2 review gave the lie to number 1. How could Ad-Aware earn its 4 Stars, when its premium Plus brother gets lashed and hashed? Given the general consensus that the pay version is virtually the same thing plus a bit more, than why is it rated so low on the Totem? I'm thinking perhaps you should not write more reviews.

  By the way, I'm using Trend-Micro (few complaints) along with Ad-Aware for Spies; Norton 360 as my main tool for virus, et al. I don't mind paying for software if it helps me sleep better.
