Version: Launchy 2.12
"on a scale of 10 a -25"
Cons: it don't work. how do I get rid of it now?

Yes, it does work and it works great. To uninstall the program it says it can't uninstall because of a running process... and the running process is the background activity that allows Launchy to index your files. You have to go to Task Manager to quit the background process. Yes this is a pain, but obviously this program isn't for newbs.

man!! if u don't know how to uninstall a program... please spare us you program reviews and go back to peeling potatoes..
start menu>all programs>Launchy>unistall launchy

My operating system is Windows XP(Pro). I had the same problem. The program was hung up but when I tried to uninstall using Windows uninstall from the Settings Window, the message indicated that the application was (in use) and would not let me uninstall. I finally solved it by selecting START and then clicking on the Programs\Startup. Launchy was listed in the Startup list. I deleted this and restarted the computer. After restarting, I used the Windows Remove Application option in the Settings Window and removed Launchy. This time I received a message that Launchy was completely uninstalled.
