    "The Single Best Shareware App...EVER"

    August 17, 2007  |   By luigi193

    Version: LaunchBar 4.3.2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Oh My God. Where would I be without launchbar???

Everything it does it does FLAWLESSLY it has never once, EVER crashed, slowed down, ANYTHING! Rarely do I get this excited over a piece of shareware. It is more worth the $20 then any other program.

Apple must hire this man. It blows quicksilver out of the water. Its design is awesome also. It drops down from the top of the screen when you need it and is gone when you don't. There's an open with, send file to, move file, copy file features new to 4.(3?). HOLY CRAP.

Ok, I am done now. Like I said I wouldn't gush over some random program unless it was flawless, and this is flawless. You need to buy a license NOW!

    "THE BEST launch utility"

    August 4, 2007  |   By Guntis

    Version: LaunchBar 4.3.1

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
LaunchBar is definately the best application launch utility. I've been switching to Butler and a few other launch utilities but have alsways come back to LaunchBar. Now the latest version is done so well that I een don't think I will try any other utility! I like ability to copy and paste contact info with one shortcut. This is amazingly nice feature!

Just add Spark shortcut manager (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/22675) and all your application launching needs are solved. Spark is good for creating shortcuts, like Ctrl+Option+Command+ the first letter of most often used applications. This way, I just press Ctrl+Option+Command+M to launch Mail, Ctrl+Option+Command+K to launch Keynote, Ctrl+Option+Command+P to launch Pages, etc. Or press Ctrl+ first letter of the folder name. Ctrl+D opens Desktop, Ctrl+Shift+D opens Documents folder, Ctrl+P opens Pictures folder, Ctrl+M opens Movies folder, Ctrl+Shift+M opens Music folder, etc.

Both Spark and LaunchBar combined together solves all application launching and folder opening needs. Highly recommended!

LaunchBar is still my favorite launch utility. It's simple, clean, and elegant. And I love the new look - easier to see, easier to use.

"Best Combination of Speed, Features, and Ease of Use"

    January 8, 2007  |   By bboyken

    Version: LaunchBar 4.2 beta 2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
As a relatively new Mac user, and after trying all three of the "top" OS X launchers: Butler, Quicksilver, and LaunchBar, I found LaunchBar to be the fastest and easiest of the three to use.

    "LaunchBar: still the best launcher"

    December 9, 2006  |   By Toadling

    Version: LaunchBar 4.2 beta 2

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been using LaunchBar for about a year and a half now, and I still thinks it's the best in the launcher category. I've tried many others (with extensive comparisons against Quicksilver, in particular), but LaunchBar simply offers a better combination of speed, ease of use, elegance, unobtrusiveness, and features I actually use. Quicksilver may offer more features and glitz, but it also comes off as gaudy, a bit bloated, over-engineered, and, in some respects, unpolished.

Quicksilver is free, too, which is nice. But I'm more interested in quality than price. The meager $20 that LaunchBar costs is well worth it. Frankly, I've spent more taking my daughter to lunch.

    "Can't live without it"

    June 5, 2006  |   By CatzForever

    Version: LaunchBar 4.1

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Best app ever, it completely changed the way I work. Whenever I'm on a computer without Launchbar, I feel like I'm handicapped. ;)

As someone else said, won't have a mac without it.

    "Horrible engine.."

    April 28, 2006  |   By Digitol3

    Version: LaunchBar 4.1

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Launch bar is pretty BLOAT. It is especially annoying that it has to scan your apps on every restart-or startup. Whether or not you restart or startup often, it's still a PAIN!! I much prefer quicksilver, although it's a bit laggy to, but NOTHING like LaunchBar. Never good when you have to advertise "LaunchBar 4.x is now twice as fast" Doh! Just my opinion.
