Version: LastBit Excel Password Recovery 11 build 8051
"Horrible support"
Pros: Seems to be working to crack an Excel 2007 open password on a Core i7 920 at 200 passwords/sec.
Cons: Horrible support! (See the bottom-line summary for details)
Summary: I've purchased this software (version 12 in November 2009) direct from LastBit but couldn't get it working on my GPU, even though I met all the written requirements. I've tried contacting the company for help over the last week with zero response. I've tried at least 5 e-mails (from a couple accounts in case I was getting spam blocked or something) and I even went so far as to track down the developer's phone number and leave a voicemail. Zero response to everything. That's what really gets me upset about the software.
Can't get it working on my NVIDIA CUDA GPU set up. It'd be nice to have a bunch of stream processors working on this file as well.
