Version: Larva Mortus 1.02
"Fun game to play"
Pros: I have this game and it's fun to play. It's styled like RIP style, but you are inside mazes instead of outside surrounded by countless monsters.
More in Summary.Cons: Can't think of anything.
Summary: Each level starts you in one room among many in a maze, it could be a forest or building, depending on the level. I don't remember exactly what weapons you start with, but you can end up with 8 altogether, which you select by pressing 1 through 8. you do not have unlimited ammo for each weapon, but you can destroy loads of crates, boxes, chests and coffins to replenish your ammo and health and get temporary boosters.
One thing to remember is that after destroying all the monsters in a room and destroying all the crates, instead of moving on the next room, go back to the previous room and then return. You will often find a new set of crates to destroy and items to get.
Once you destroy all the monsters in any room, they will not respawn, so once they are gone, they are gone for good. The only exception to that is if you left the room before destroying all of the monsters in that room, then they all will still be there, so it's best to try and destroy them all the first time.
If you die, you are able to go back into the last level you died in, but usually it will be designed differently with a different number of rooms, but the object will still be the same.
You have a map of the current level in the lower-right corner, making it easy to know how rooms are situated so you can plan ahead how you want to navigate the level. You can increase or decrease the size of the map by clicking on the + or - signs next to it.
Oh I guess I should mention that WASD keys are used for movement and your mouse is used to shoot your selected weapon. The character will always face the direction of the cursor.
Overall, it's worth checking out and worth paying for. I haven't played in a couple weeks because I've been getting into other games and projects, but I'm at the last level. The monsters do get tougher as you go along, as is with most games.
Oh and one thing I do want to mention. You'll learn in the game that you have a main quest to go through to get through the game, but there will be many optional levels that appear on the world map. You can play the optional levels as much as you want, but they have no bearing on finishing the game. You could play forever and never finish the game.
The world map is tricky, also. For a long time I was at a standstill because the only levels that were available were the optional ones. Then I was playing around one day and found out you can move the world map, something there was no clue about anywhere. Just click on the world map and drag to the side to find more envelopes. You'll see what i mean.
That's about all I can think of. Have fun playing.
