"Rogue Program"

Cons
Rogue Antimalware. This is a dangerous program. Connection with the author's website triggers security events including remote connection by rogue hosts and drive-by installation of malware. Program acts as a "client" for trojan malware installation.
Summary
During my test of this software, the Client program Lark Antispyware established a connection with the home website and began to transmit personal data. Test also confirmed this to be a rogue application attempting to install additional rogue software and hijack hosts file. Why Cnet has this program is a real question.
The program itself puts on a nice little show and acts like it's working. To the unsuspecting, inexperienced user, it may appear to be a legitimate program. Before/after testing showed the infected "test" system was even more infected after software installation/first run. A simple set of ten spies and trojans grew to more than 200! I recommend avoiding this rogue security software at all costs.
